Ada Anioma, Dreaded by Asaba Residents, Honoured By The Media
THE Director General of the Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency (DSCTDA), Hon. (Pastor) Joan Onyemaechi, was honoured with the award of ‘Most Impactful Appointee of the Year in Delta State’, on Sunday, December 5, 2021, by the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Independent Television (ITV) and the Radio Chapel, Benin City, Edo State.
Although the awardee made a huge impart by taking a fight to street trading and illegal construction in Asaba, she is obviously one woman, who most members of the public love to hate. Yet, she was the rave of the moment during the 2021 Press Week of the chapel.
The former member of the House of Representatives, also known as Ada Anioma, was part of a group of prominent individuals and corporate bodies the chapel recognised, saying it was for their contribution to the socio-economic development of their states and Nigeria. The award ceremony was the climax of the group’s Press Week, where a lecture was delivered, with the theme: “Unveiling Nigeria’s Developement Plan 2050 and the Place of the Common Man”. It was delivered by the Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Agba.
