ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi To Speak At 6th DOPF Convention
THE Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) of the Nigeria Police, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has been announced as the Guest Speaker for the 6th Convention and Lecture Series of the Delta Online Publishers Forum (DOPF). The event is scheduled for Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Vienna International Hotel, Asaba.
In a press release on Saturday, DOPF explained that the choice of Adejobi followed extensive consultations, citing his professional background and expertise as key factors. The theme for this year’s lecture is “Security Challenges in Nigeria: Finding Local Implementable Solutions.”
The statement, signed by DOPF Chairman, Emmanuel Enebeli and Secretary Shedrack Onitsha, highlighted Adejobi’s reputation as a seasoned communication strategist with extensive experience in public affairs and security management. “We believe his insights will be invaluable to our members and participants,” the statement read.
“We are honoured to have ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi as our Guest Speaker. His deep knowledge and professional experience will enrich discussions on the topic, helping us explore meaningful solutions to security challenges not only in Delta State but across Nigeria,” the release added.
Adejobi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology and Geography (Combined Honours) and a Master’s degree in African Studies, both from the University of Ibadan. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Peace, Security, and Humanitarian Studies at the same institution and has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Peace and Security Management from Prowess University, Delaware, USA. His career in the Nigeria Police Force has focused on conflict management and public relations.
The convention will also feature a panel of experts from various sectors, bringing diverse perspectives on security management and solutions. The identities of these panelists will be announced in due course.
Last year’s lecture was themed “Physical Policy and Taxation: Balancing Revenue Generation and Economic Growth.” It was delivered by Dr. Doris Amaka Ochei, a financial expert and philanthropist. Dr. Ochei, founder of the Doris Amaka Ochei Foundation, holds two Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Public Policy, an MBA, and a Ph.D. in Forensic Accounting. She is also a Fellow in Accounting and a chartered taxation professional.
The upcoming lecture promises to provide actionable insights into Nigeria’s security challenges, with ACP Adejobi and the panelists expected to offer practical solutions.
