NIGERIA will host the 2025 Youth Creative Conference (YCC) from 22–23 October at the ECOWAS Headquarters in Abuja, bringing together over 1,000 young leaders from Africa and the diaspora.
Organised with the African Union, the conference themed “Silencing the Guns: Pathway for Peacebuilding in Africa” will focus on youth-driven peacebuilding, innovation, and sustainable development.
Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, said the event aligns with AU Agenda 2063 and Nigeria’s “Four DAs” foreign policy pillars—Democracy, Diaspora, Development, and Diplomacy.
Convener Blaize-Kizito Ndukwe highlighted the growing impact of the YCC Initiative, while the AU reaffirmed support through its Silencing the Guns programme.
The two-day gathering aims to empower youth as peacebuilders, innovators, and partners in advancing Africa’s unity and prosperity.
