Abuja Half Marathon: Key Roads Closed 6th December

THE Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has announced road closures ahead of the Premium Trust Bank Abuja City International Half Marathon on Saturday 6 December 2025. Vehicular access along the marathon route will be restricted from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. to ensure athlete safety and smooth race operations.
The race starts opposite the National Fire Service Headquarters on Mohammed Buhari Way and winds through Constitution Avenue, Shehu Shagari Way, Goodluck Jonathan Expressway, Murtala Mohammed Expressway, Nnamdi Azikiwe Expressway, and Ambassador Valentine Okereke Boulevard before finishing at the Velodrome in the Package B Sports Complex.
The Directorate of Road Traffic Services (DRTS) will deploy marshals and security personnel along the route to manage diversions and guide motorists. Commuters are advised to plan alternative routes and follow on-site instructions during the event.
