THE Federal Government has launched the Nigerian Farmers Soil Health Scheme (NFSHS) to help farmers better manage soil for improved yields, quality produce, and higher income.
Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, Sen. Aliyu Abdullahi, said in Abuja that the initiative aligns with the Renewed Hope agenda on food security and promotes sustainable land use, climate-smart, and regenerative farming.
The scheme provides real-time soil data to guide fertiliser use, improve productivity, and support informed policy decisions. Abdullahi said empowering farmers with soil knowledge will enhance food security and ensure long-term land health, marking “a new season where every Nigerian farmer cultivates with knowledge and confidence.”
