THE Delta State Waste Management Board has intensified efforts to clear indiscriminately dumped refuse across the State Capital Territory and other parts of the state.
Supervised by Mr. Stephen Uwanabi, the weekend cleanup covered Koka Junction, Kwale Park, Okpanam Road, and the former Asaba–Benin dumpsite. Acting on the directive of Chairman Hon. Matthew Mofe Edema, the Board pledged to sustain routine waste evacuation to ensure a cleaner, healthier Delta.
Uwanabi urged residents to register with approved Private Sector Participants (PSPs) for proper waste disposal and avoid illegal dumping. He emphasized public cooperation and environmental responsibility as key to achieving the Oborevwori administration’s M.O.R.E. Agenda on sanitation and urban renewal.
