Asagba Of Asaba Calls For Abrogation Of ‘Traditional Ruler’ Nomenclature
THE Asagba of Asaba, Obi (Prof.) Chike Edozien, has expressed displeasure with the term, ‘traditional ruler’, used to describe monarchs, saying they should be rightly referred to as kings.
He made the observation, while receiving members of the prestigious Erhurhu Club, Asaba who visited the Palace to congratulate him on his birthday and coronation anniversary.
The Asagba of Asaba said: “I really don’t know where the term, ‘traditional ruler’ came from. I would want a situation, where we are rightly called and described as kings.
