THE Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has submitted responses to 19 audit queries raised by the Senate Committee on Public Accounts over unaccounted funds totaling ₦210 trillion from 2017 to 2023.
Committee Chairman Sen. Aliyu Wadada confirmed that NNPCL requested and received an extension before submitting its replies, which are now under review.
He said the committee will thoroughly examine the company’s explanations before making its findings public, adding that further scrutiny will cover production sharing contracts and the reported losses by NNPCL Retail.
Wadada assured Nigerians that the committee will ensure transparency and accountability in handling the matter.
