The Anambra State chapter of the Labour Party (LP) has urged Nigerians to use the nation’s 65th Independence Anniversary as a moment of reflection and renewed commitment to unity and justice.
In a goodwill message signed by its State Chairman, Comrade Peter Okoye, the party congratulated Nigerians at home and in the diaspora, describing the milestone as both “historic and symbolic.”
While acknowledging the country’s current challenges, the LP said the resilience of Nigerians remains a source of hope for a brighter future.
“The Labour Party is committed to equity, justice, and people-focused governance,” the statement read. “With visionary leadership and collective will, Nigeria can overcome its trials and achieve its true potential.”
Okoye encouraged Ndi Anambra and Nigerians everywhere to remain hopeful and actively involved in building the nation, stressing that progress depends on shared purpose and determination.
“As we celebrate this anniversary, let us reaffirm the bonds that unite us and work together for a more prosperous and just Nigeria,” he added.
