Tantita Security Services Reaffirms Commitment To Human Development, Donates Classrooms To Correctional Centre
TANTITA Security Services Nigeria Limited has restated its commitment to human capital development and community empowerment, stressing that education remains a powerful tool for rehabilitation, peace, and social stability.
The Managing Director of Tantita Security Services, Chief Keston Pondi, gave the assurance on Tuesday during the inauguration of an eight-classroom block donated to the Medium Security Correctional Centre, Okere Road, Warri. The project was executed in partnership with the Delta State Government to strengthen inmate education and reintegration.
Chief Pondi said Tantita’s investment in the project reflects its corporate social responsibility philosophy, which prioritizes initiatives that build people and communities. He emphasized that providing inmates with access to knowledge and skills would not only reduce the chances of re-offending but also empower them to become useful members of society after their release.
“As an organization, we believe that true security goes beyond surveillance and enforcement. It also means tackling the root causes of crime by creating opportunities for growth, development, and peace,” Pondi stated.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Delta State Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof. Nyerhovwo Tonukari, who represented Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, commended Tantita for its vision and partnership. He described the classrooms as a symbol of how government and the private sector can work together to strengthen society.
He noted that the facility would provide inmates with a conducive learning environment for both academic and vocational training, aligning with the state government’s policy of empowering citizens through education.
The inauguration underscored the synergy between Tantita Security Services and the Delta State Government, with both parties affirming that the project will serve as a beacon of hope for inmates seeking a second chance at life.
