Army Chief To NDA Cadets: Nation’s Future Is Yours

CHIEF of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, has charged graduating cadets of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) to embrace professionalism, resilience, and innovation as they prepare to safeguard Nigeria’s sovereignty.
Speaking at the Regimental Dinner for cadets of the 72 Regular Course and others in Kaduna, Oluyede told the soon-to-be officers that Nigeria’s future rested on their shoulders. He urged them to be technologically adept, adaptable, and decisive in addressing the nation’s evolving security challenges.
The army chief emphasised leadership, trust, and accountability as pillars of military service, while commending the NDA’s Commandant, staff, and instructors for their dedication. He also thanked President Bola Tinubu and defence leaders for their support of the Armed Forces.
Oluyede congratulated the cadets on their achievement and encouraged them to march into their new roles with pride, discipline, and commitment to the nation.
