Tinubu Sacks Presidential Aide

PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu has relieved Fegho John Umunubo of his duties as Special Assistant on Digital and Creative Economy in the Office of the Vice President.
The announcement was made in a statement issued by Abiodun Oladunjoye, Director of Information and Public Relations at the State House, on Monday.
According to the statement, Mr. Umunubo’s disengagement takes immediate effect.
The presidency also cautioned government stakeholders, institutions, and the general public that Umunubo no longer represents the administration in any capacity.
“Henceforth, anyone who interfaces with him in the name of President Tinubu’s administration does so at his or her own risk,” the statement read.
Mr. Umunubo was appointed in 2023 to assist in driving the Tinubu administration’s vision for the digital and creative economy sectors.
No official reason was provided for his dismissal, but the presidency emphasized that he should no longer be engaged or consulted on behalf of the government.
