Golden Eaglets Eye AFCON Ticket In Ouagadougou

NIGERIA and six other West African nations will battle for the WAFU B U-17 qualification ticket when the regional tournament begins in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
The competition will run from 10 to 23 October, with seven teams chasing a place at the next Africa U-17 Cup of Nations.
Hosts Burkina Faso will face Nigeria, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Benin, Niger and Togo in the regional showdown.
Each team will be seeking a strong campaign as the race for continental qualification gathers pace.
Nigeria, meanwhile, will aim to make an early statement and secure its passage from the WAFU B zone.
With the opening matches scheduled for Friday 10 October, the participating teams are stepping up preparations for the tournament.
The qualifiers will continue until 23 October in Ouagadougou.
At the end of the competition, the eventual winner will earn the opportunity to represent the zone at the continental U-17 stage.
For Nigeria, attention will now turn to delivering a consistent campaign and securing the qualification ticket.
