Falconets Surrender Lead as South Korea Force 1-1 Draw

THE Falconets were held to a 1-1 draw by South Korea in an international friendly on Tuesday.

Nigeria broke the deadlock in the 29th minute. Mary Mamudu produced a well-taken finish to put the Falconets ahead.

South Korea returned from the break with greater attacking intent. The pressure eventually paid off in the 78th minute when the hosts converted a penalty to level the score.

With the match finely balanced, both teams pushed for a late winner. Yet neither side could make the breakthrough.

The Falconets consequently settled for a 1-1 draw in the friendly encounter.
