Senegal Named Host For 2026 Beach Soccer AFCON

Senegal to Host 2026 Beach Soccer AFCON
THE Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially confirmed Senegal as the host nation for the 2026 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations, following approval by its Executive Committee.
The decision reinforces CAF’s confidence in Senegal’s ability to stage major continental competitions, while also recognising the country’s strong influence in the development of beach soccer in Africa.
Senegal remains the most successful nation in the tournament’s history, with five titles to its name. The team is also the reigning champion, having secured five consecutive victories, including the 2024 edition held in Egypt.
CAF noted that the 2026 tournament will feature eight top African nations competing for continental honours, as well as qualification spots for the 2027 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
Senegal previously hosted the competition in 2021, further cementing its reputation as a dependable venue for international beach soccer events.
