THE Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed 27 April 2026 for the commencement of trial in a major treason case involving six individuals accused of plotting to overthrow the Nigerian government.

The decision followed their arraignment before Justice Joyce Abdulmalik, where all six defendants entered not-guilty pleas to a 13-count charge bordering on treason, terrorism, and related offences.
