DOPF Celebrates Tompolo At 55, Hails Role In Niger Delta Peace, Development
THE Delta Online Publishers Forum (DOPF) has congratulated Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, on his 55th birthday, commending his contributions to peace and development in the Niger Delta.
In a statement issued to mark the occasion, the Forum described Tompolo as a “Niger Delta liberator and a renewed force for good,” noting that his influence continues to shape stability and socio-economic progress in the region.
The statement, signed by the Forum’s Secretary, Shedrack Onitsha, highlighted Tompolo’s transformation from a prominent figure in the Niger Delta struggle to a key player in private security and community development.
“At 55, we celebrate not just his life, but a legacy of resilience, courage and transformation. His journey reflects a rare blend of strength and compassion that continues to inspire many,” the statement read.
DOPF particularly praised his leadership role in Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, noting that the company has played a major role in tackling oil theft, protecting critical infrastructure and restoring stability across oil-producing communities.
According to the Forum, Tantita’s operations have contributed to improved crude oil production and strengthened national revenue through enhanced security coordination and community involvement.
“Through your leadership, you have demonstrated that sustainable peace is achievable when local knowledge, trust and strategic coordination are effectively harnessed,” the Forum stated.
The group also commended Tompolo’s philanthropic efforts, describing him as a leader committed to improving the lives of people in the Niger Delta through humanitarian initiatives and community support programmes.
It noted that his growing involvement in social development has further reinforced his reputation as a leader driven by service and responsibility.
DOPF prayed for continued good health, wisdom and strength for the celebrant, expressing confidence that he would sustain his contributions to peace, unity and development in the region.
