Delta Governor Reacts to Loss in National Assembly
GOVERNOR Sheriff Oborevwori has mourned the passing of Dr. Chamberlain Nnamdi Dunkwu, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Nigeria, describing the development as a painful loss to the nation’s legislative community.
Dr. Dunkwu reportedly died in the early hours of Saturday, according to reports.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor conveyed his condolences to the family of the deceased, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, and the people of Ute-Okpu in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State, where the late aide hailed from.
A Career Marked by Service
Governor Oborevwori described the late Dunkwu as a dedicated public servant whose commitment to national development and legislative administration earned him respect across Nigeria’s political landscape.
According to the governor, Dunkwu was known for his professionalism and loyalty in the discharge of his duties as Deputy Chief of Staff to the Speaker, a position that placed him at the heart of the National Assembly’s administrative structure.
