Delta State Kicks Off Police Constable Recruitment Screening Exercise

Delta State Police Recruitment Screening Underway
DELTA State has officially begun the physical and credential screening of applicants for the ongoing recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF). The exercise is scheduled to run from 9 March to 18 April 2026 at the Cenotaph, Asaba, marking a key stage in the selection process.
According to SP Bright Edafe, Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, the Police Service Commission (PSC) will conduct the screening in collaboration with the NPF. Applicants are expected to report according to the specific date and time on their invitation slips, ensuring orderly and efficient processing.
The exercise includes physical fitness tests, medical evaluations, and verification of academic and personal credentials, in line with national recruitment standards. Candidates must bring all required documents, as incomplete submissions could result in disqualification.
SP Edafe emphasized that the recruitment drive forms part of a broader federal initiative to strengthen the Nigeria Police Force’s manpower and enhance public safety nationwide. He encouraged candidates to follow the instructions provided to avoid complications during the screening process.
This recruitment phase in Delta State represents a crucial step in the federal government’s effort to fill critical gaps within the police service, improve internal security, and ensure that newly enlisted constables meet the standards of competence, professionalism, and integrity required of Nigeria’s law enforcement personnel.
