Deaconess Oborevwori Celebrates 56 With Senior Citizens In Ozoro

Birthday Outreach Focused on the Elderly
THE Wife of the Delta State Governor and Founder of the You Matter Charity Foundation, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, on Thursday marked her 56th birthday with elderly citizens and other vulnerable groups across Delta State, reaffirming her commitment to compassion-driven leadership.
The central event took place in Ozoro, Isoko North Local Government Area, where the First Lady celebrated with senior citizens, describing them as custodians of wisdom and vital pillars of families and communities.
Renewed Commitment to Senior Citizens
Expressing gratitude to God for the gift of life, Deaconess Oborevwori said the outreach fulfilled a promise she made in 2024 to always mark her birthday with the elderly.
“Each time I see you, I behold God’s beauty in creation. Your strength and resilience inspire me, and I remain committed to supporting your welfare,” she said.
Food items and essential supplies were distributed to beneficiaries at the Ozoro centre, while similar outreaches were held simultaneously in other parts of the state for widows, orphans and persons with disabilities. She described the initiative as a comprehensive expression of love and care.

Prayers for Delta State
The First Lady also appealed for prayers for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and Delta State, expressing confidence that the dividends of democracy would continue to reach all communities.
Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area, Hon. Godwin Ogorugba, praised Deaconess Oborevwori for her humanitarian efforts and deep connection to her roots, describing her as a worthy daughter of Isoko Nation.
Other speakers, including APC chieftain Comrade Ovuozourie Macaulay and the Queen of Uzoro Kingdom, Queen Ofejiro Ogbogbo, commended her compassion, support for women and vulnerable groups, and commitment to unity and empowerment.
