Asaba Palace Hosts Tech Push For Healthcare, Mobility

THE Asagba of Asaba, HRM Prof. Epiphany Azinge, SAN, has declared the Asaba community’s readiness to partner with forward-thinking organisations to deliver technology-driven healthcare and sustainable transportation solutions.
The monarch made this known during a courtesy visit by the leadership of TAF Africa Foundation, Koyo Health Tech, and EV World Africa to his palace on 4 February 2026.
Warm Reception, Shared Vision
Receiving the delegation, Asagba Azinge applauded the visitors for their thoughtful and innovative proposals, describing them as aligned with his vision of inclusive and progressive development for Asaba Kingdom.
He expressed special appreciation to Dr. Jake Epele for establishing TAF Africa Foundation’s presence in Asaba, noting that disability inclusion remains a core concern of his administration.
“The world must offer equal opportunities to all persons, irrespective of physical abilities,” the monarch said, pledging continued advocacy for disability inclusion within the kingdom.

Digital Healthcare as a Priority
The Asagba lauded Koyo Health Tech’s proposal for enhanced digital healthcare services, saying Asaba is committed to improving access to quality medical care.
He assured Dr. Tom Cracknell of the community’s willingness to collaborate in deploying technology that would ease pressure on hospitals and bring professional medical support closer to residents.
“As a community, we are open to anyone with innovative ideas that promote development,” he said.
Reimagining Traditional Leadership
Reflecting on the evolving role of traditional rulers, Asagba Azinge said kingship must go beyond ceremonial duties to active governance and development advocacy.
“I have moved from traditional rulership to traditional governance,” he said. “Leadership today requires attracting development in all sectors, not waiting passively for homage.”
He thanked Koyo Health Tech for initiating its healthcare project from the palace and prayed for its success in delivering meaningful services to humanity.
Pushing for Modern Transport Solutions
The monarch highlighted the need for a modern transportation system befitting Asaba’s status as a state capital, noting that improved transport infrastructure would enhance public health and urban efficiency.
He commended Engr. Seun Oluwalade of EV World Africa for proposing electric vehicle solutions and disclosed that the community is already taking steps toward introducing modern transport systems.
Stakeholders Outline Their Missions
Speaking earlier, Dr. Jake Epele described TAF Africa Foundation as a pan-African organisation promoting disability inclusion, human rights, and economic empowerment for vulnerable groups.
He said the foundation supports political participation, capacity building, access to justice, and policy advocacy for persons with disabilities, and appealed to the Asagba for sustained support.
Dr. Cracknell explained that Koyo Health Tech aims to make quality healthcare accessible to all through digital platforms that connect patients to trained medical professionals. He revealed plans to establish an office in Asaba to create employment and skills development opportunities.
Engr. Oluwalade said EV World Africa focuses on electric vehicle solutions and expressed admiration for the Asagba’s leadership reforms, adding that the company considered Asaba a suitable environment for introducing electric mobility innovations.
Together, the engagements underscored Asaba Kingdom’s openness to partnerships that promote inclusive healthcare, sustainable transportation, and people-centred development.
