Jesse-Idjerhe Youth Council Storms Jonathan’s Residence After Appointment By Gov. Okowa
THE Jesse-Idjerhe Youth Council, has visited Hon. Tashemi Jonathan, as he received family members, friends and political associates, immediately after his inauguration by Delta State Governor, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi ‘Oghenegare’ Okowa, as a member of the Delta State Land Allocation Committee.
The visitors gathered at his residence, along Efemini Road in Jesse Town, Delta State. In a welcome address, Jonathan thanked the youths for coming to celebrate with him, while he sought the assistance of the group, being the umbrella body of Idjerhe youths.
He thanked Hon. (Barr.) John Nani, the Aghemutuvweyi of Idjerhe kingdom, for influencing his appointment, while describing Nani, as a special breed of leader among all other leaders and one who has the interest of his followers at heart. He advised the youths to be patient, “because all of them could not be empowered at once.”
Jonathan, who is Chairman of the PDP in Federal Ward 3 in Ethiope West Local Governnent Area, said: “we were not given birth to the same year, day or time nor do we have same faces, therefore our day of empowerment can never be the same.” On his part, the President of Idjerhe Youth Council, Comrade Francis Osiebe congratulated Jonathan for his successful inauguration as a member of Delta State Land Allocation Committee.
