The Super Eagles have officially begun their preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
Ten players reported to the team’s camp at the Renaissance Hotels in Cairo on Sunday, signaling the start of a focused build-up to the tournament.
Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho, marking his return to the national team after over a year away, was the first to arrive, followed by Stanley Nwabali, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, and Ebenezer Akinsanmiro.
The group grew to ten with the arrival of Amas Obasogie, Semi Ajayi, Ademola Lookman, Igho Ogbu, Bright Osayi-Samuel, and Tochukwu Nnadi.
More players are expected soon, as the team gears up for a friendly match against Egypt on Tuesday.
With a runners-up finish at the last AFCON, the Super Eagles are aiming to reclaim the title they last won in 2013.
