· I Only Borrowed It- Suspect
THE Ika North East Local Government Area Chapter of the Anti Cult Volunteer Corps, has apprehended a suspected motorcycle thief, who gave his name as David Okubor, in his twenties.
He was apprehended in one of the new generation banks at Boji-Boji Metropolis. In his confession, the young suspect, revealed that, “I am a native of Kwale in Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Delta State, but based in Agbor with my siblings, where I’m currently undergoing training in aluminum or Alumaco in local parlance.” On what really transpired, he said, “I was looking for a motorcycle to travel to Kwale and my mind went straight to the bank to pick one. My intention was not to steal it but, to use it to go to my place in Kwale, then return it to the bank any time I returned to town”. He begged for pardon, noting that he was pushed by the devil to carry out the evil deed.
The Anti-Cult Volunteer Corps, in a statement, disclosed that David was almost successful in moving the motorcycle but that he ran out of luck, as he was caught by vigilant members of the group. Okubor was later handed to the Agbor Area Command Headquarters for investigation into the matter.
