Oborevwori Courts Investors As He Commissions Swiss International Rancho Valerie Hotel, Orders Rehabilitation of Ubeji–Egbokodo–Refinery Road

DELTA State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has urged investors—particularly Deltans at home and abroad—to seize the state’s rapidly improving economic environment and commit to new investments, declaring that “the time to invest in Delta State is now.”
The Governor made the call on Friday in Ubeji, Warri South Local Government Area, while inaugurating the newly completed multi-million-naira Swiss International Rancho Valerie Hotel, a major addition to the state’s hospitality and tourism landscape.
Describing the facility as a bold indicator of Warri’s economic resurgence, Oborevwori ordered the immediate rehabilitation of failed portions of the Ubeji–Egbokodo–Refinery Road, assuring residents and businesses that his administration remains committed to infrastructure renewal across the state.
“Warri is rising again, Delta State is progressing steadily. The shadows of yesterday have given way to the bright possibilities of today and the greater promises of tomorrow,” the Governor said, noting that investor confidence is returning strongly to the state.
He added that the new hotel demonstrates Delta’s readiness to host world-class ventures, stressing that the project would stimulate local commerce, create jobs, promote community peace, and deepen the socio-economic development of Warri and the state at large.
“This hotel is not just another project; it is a statement that Delta State is open for business. It affirms that our state is safe, investor-friendly, and capable of hosting top-tier hospitality and tourism investments,” he said.
Oborevwori commended the hotel’s owner, Mr. Mode Akoma, for choosing to invest in his home community, describing the project as a story of vision, resilience, and commitment to Delta’s advancement.
“If you had invited me to commission a hotel outside Delta State, I would not have attended. But I am proud that you chose to develop your community. This project brings jobs, brings peace, and brings progress,” he said.
Reaffirming his administration’s dedication to improved infrastructure, enhanced security, and investment-friendly policies under the MORE Agenda, the Governor said the success of projects like Swiss International Rancho Valerie reflects the abundant opportunities available in Delta.
Earlier, the hotel’s General Manager, Mr. Todowede Opeyemi, said the new facility is designed to deliver world-class hospitality and elevate tourism in the state. He assured that guests would enjoy premium services that showcase Delta’s warmth, culture, and hospitality.
“Every guest deserves more than a stay—they deserve an unforgettable experience,” he said.
