‘Who Is The DPO At Owa Oyibu, SP Monday Osayi And DCO, Ben Edo Working For’ – Concerned Residents Ask
· Blame Obi Of Owa Over Vigilante Appointments
SOURCES inside Owa Oyibu Community, headquarters of Ika North East L.G.A. of Delta State, have posited that crime and criminality in Owa land started when the Obi of Owa made Friday Buzugbe, Alias KPOKPONTE, the head of Owa Vigilante Group, alleging it was when cases of missing persons began in the hitherto safe and quiet community. Other new evils include breaking into residents’ homes, armed robbery, assassinations, among other acts of criminality unleashed against residents in recent times.
A source said: “Their grandmaster is there to protect them at all times as he controls all the security agencies in the state. Friday Buzugbe started stealing and robbing at a tender age, which everyone in Owa land knows, even the Obi, but he still went ahead to make such a person the head of the Vigilante group, or does the monarch have an ulterior motive, to the extent that the boys recruited by Buzugbe say it openly that no Police from the state can arrest them.
“So, the reason why crime can’t stop in Ika North East, is because many of the criminals under the umbrella of the Obi of Owa Kingdom work hand in hand with the DPO and the DCO, Owa Oyibu Division. It pains me to see people who have sworn to protect lives and property, turning round to aid and abet criminal activities. The DPO of Owa Oyibu is only protecting the criminals because they bring returns to him from the proceeds of their crime. I know many innocent people who the DPO and the DCO of Owa Oyibu Division have detained and even charge to court for minor offenses, but refused to arrest and persecute those terorising, kidnapping and killing innocent people .”
“The DPO transferred all the women Police officers at Owa Oyibu Division because he suspected that they were the ones giving us information about his activities with the criminals in Owa land. The DPO and the DCO have been given these criminals information concerning any planned arrest. When my stepmother was kidnapped, I called the DPO, but he answered that those names are too big for him to arrest, then I now know that the DPO is at the Division to protect the criminals in Owa land, to the detriment of the poor masses.
