OVER 750 women from across Nigeria will march on the National Assembly on Monday to demand passage of the Reserved Seats Bill, which seeks to guarantee women greater representation in governance.
Organised by the Women’s Political Participation Technical Working Group, the march begins at the National Centre for Women Development before moving to NASS for the formal submission of a memorandum.
A follow-up engagement with stakeholders and the media will hold at the Transcorp Hilton, where women leaders will continue pressing for constitutional reform.
Chairperson Ebere Ifendu said the action underscores women’s determination to secure their rightful place in decision-making.
